California raised wagyu

Four Generations of Ranching in California

We were introduced to Wagyu cattle in 2021. My family has been in California since the turn of the century and ranched in the North Bay Area for decades. My dad raised registered and commercial Angus in Napa and Solano Counties from 1935 until the 1980's, with a few years off for college and his Navy service during WWII. Now we are raising registered Wagyu and Wagyu/Angus cross F1 and F2 cattle just on the other side of the Blue Ridge mountains from our old ranch at Lake Berryessa.
We are striving to raise Wagyu cattle that represent the best of the breed,
in phenotype as well as maternal and carcass traits, who are gentle and pleasant to handle.
The brands shown are those used by my parents and grandparents, one of which we still utilize today. My daughters and I honor the legacy of Herb and Jane Gunn and Gunn Ranches of Napa, California.
